Seasonal Projects are great for groups and ideal for schools, churches, families, and community groups. Projects can be tailored to fit a group’s interest and age range!
Our Seasonal Projects vary, depending on the time of year and the needs of the clients that we serve.
These are just some examples of possible Seasonal Projects!
Yard Work/Snow Shoveling: Grab a rake, a mower, or some pruners and get to work! Cleaning up leaves, sticks, yard debris or pruning shrubs and trees can be a very difficult task for our clients. Fixing a fence or similar projects can be done to help a client out. You may be asked to shovel snow or break ice on the sidewalk or driveway to avoid the risk of injury.
Painting: Indoor and outdoor painting projects can improve the look and quality of a client’s home and more importantly, in some instances, keep the property up to code. Painting a room, a home’s exterior, or weatherizing a ramp are helpful and uplifting experiences for Area IV clients.
Winter Wrap-Up: Help a client prepare their home for winter. Bring in their hoses, turn off their spigots, and help with simple weatherization techniques. You may be asked to hang shrink plastic on leaky windows, or assist in putting away the summer wardrobe.
Spring Cleaning: A fun project for a small group. Bring out the hoses, turn spigots back on, and help the client get their summer wardrobe out. This could even be an opportunity to help a client start a garden or remove some lingering clutter from the home.
